Our impact since 2020
We have delivered multiple shipping containers — thousands of cartons of stoma care and urostomy supplies — to a growing number of patients across Sudan, alongside ongoing online clinical training and regular community packing days.
Who we are
Giving Island is a Northern Ireland registered charity (CCNI 108514) delivering humanitarian medical aid to Sudan. We began with a focus on clinical training, while also sending stoma care and urostomy supplies. After the outbreak of war in 2023 devastated Sudan’s medical supply chains, that supply work scaled up dramatically to become our primary mission — reaching patients who can no longer obtain these essentials any other way.
Supplies are collected across Northern Ireland and shipped by container for distribution through trusted partners on the ground — reaching patients who would otherwise go without.
